Li'l Dino boarded, while on her phone, and she walked down the aisle to a seat in the back while waving to everyone on either side. Her entrance had a runway model quality to it.
A black lady sat across from me on the right side of the bus wearing jeans, a light lime green top, black sandals, and a black crocheted purse. She had a blue book bag sitting on the seat beside her that said St. Timothy's School on it, and she was reading the newspaper magazine Parade.
I had two work meetings today, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.
My morning meeting, from 9:30-10:45, was just a lot of fun, as the participants are some of my favorite people who I work with. Jen ran the meeting and it was a review of the presentation that is going to be shown to parents at New Student Orientation coming up in July, during which there are some sessions specifically for the parents. We present everything they need to know about IT services that our organization provides to the university, including computer recommendations for their incoming students.
My afternoon meeting, from 1:00-2:15, was our weekly Student E-mail Initiative meeting, which we used to have on Friday, and about which I'm thrilled no longer is. I take minutes for this meeting, and today it was grueling technical, which makes it much less fun and much more challenging to take minutes for.
I took a two-hour nap before dancing, and arrived at Flex at just a little after 9:00.
It ended up getting quite festive out there tonight—for no apparent reason. Carl was not there tonight, so unfortunately, we didn't offer a lesson. Also, Geromy wasn't there, nor Michael. In addition to Bill and myself, other dancers included Rick, Phil, Joe, Ernie and Wayne.
Bob was there, who I met at Trailer Park Prize night several weeks ago, and I had a nice chat with him throughout the night. It was Ben's birthday, and his roommate Jeff, brought him down for some fun, and that seemed to have been successful. I bought Ben a birthday drink, mine falling somewhere after and before a plethora of others. Let's just say alcohol was putting the "happy" in: Happy Birthday, Ben!
Later in the evening, Jeffrey Moore came out and his, and Joe's, friend Glen was with him.
I danced a lot tonight, including two-steps with Bill—to Irreplaceable, of course, as well as to Long Black Train. I had a couple, if not three, two-steps with Rick, too.
Van asked me for a ride home, so I waited until he got off a midnight, and took him home. He's not in a good place right now.
