|Kevin (av8rdude) was up for a 5:00 conference call. Bless his heart. My alarm was set for 8:00, I woke up at about 7:30, and got up at about 7:50.|
Kevin put on the coffee, and I made Swiss and Sausage Omelets for us. They were pretty good, but I should have used more cheese. It didn't "string out" when we cut it into bites. We split a whole wheat bagel to go along with the omelets.
Earlier this week, I was in some drawer looking for something (what exactly, I can no longer remember) and I came across two gift cards—one for Target and one for Quail Ridge Books & Music (QRBM). I think the Target one was for Christmas. I know the QRBM one was from my friend Myra for my birthday last year.
Just the other day, I was thinking, I need some more Thank You and "blank inside" cards for "just because" notes, and I want some nice ones. I decided to look for some at QRBM, and use my gift card to get them. I found some real nice ones—one pack of Thank Yous and one pack of blank inside ones.
I also found a cute little six-pack of cards with North Carolina scenes on them that will make a good "host gift" for China. We're encouraged to bring small gifts for the various people or groups of people who will be hosting us, and they suggested something unique to your hometown or the geographical area in which you live.
As the day progressed, it became more and more apparent that Kevin was going to have trouble squeezing the gym in today. He has a gazillion things going on, and that need to be done, before he heads out for his DC-Boston-Seattle drive starting on Friday.
So, when it got to be late afternoon, I went to the gym by myself, as I wanted to get my upper body and crunches in, forgoing cardio since it was a dance night. Today's stats:
Dancing was fun tonight, in spite of the 30-minute break for Sordid Lives. We did manage to dance during the three commercials, so that was good.
Kevin arrived at about 10:30, and after the dancing stopped, I ended up chatting with two guys who were here on business—one from Pennsylvania (or was it Maryland?), and the other from L.A. They were both good-looking guys, albeit in very different ways.
The one from L.A. had on a wedding ring, and when he mentioned a partner, I indicated his ring and asked, "Have you guys gotten married?" They had. Cool.
I guess I left there at about midnight, which is actually kind of late for a Wednesday night.
