I had an 11:00 - 12:00 meeting with Becky, Dana, and Randy, which went well. My weekly 1:00 - 2:00 meeting also went well, with a lot of good sharing of information.
I left work at 3:45 as I had a 4:45-5:00 appointment with Dr. Katz about my individual project. I parked in front of the University Post Office in a metered spot. When I got out of my car, I noticed a ticket on the ground that evidently had been on the car previously parked in my spot. When I went to put a quarter in the meter, I noticed a red and white sticker stuck to the meter that said, "50 Cents." Well this is new. All of the meters there, even the ones for the 15-minute (as opposed to my spot, which was for an hour) were up to 50 cents now. That must be why the ticket.
As I opened my door to look in my console for another quarter, a woman across the street yelled from in front of her meter, "Do you have another quarter?" I gave her one.
I was outside Dr. Katz's office by 4:15, and booted up my laptop to use the half hour I had to catch up my journal. As soon as it booted up, and I got about three sentences in, Peg came out of Dr. Katz's office. She told me that another student who was going to interview me for her project had changed her mind, and asked me if she could interview me. I agreed, and gave her my contact information.
Dr. Katz told me to come in as she had no one scheduled for the 4:15 to 4:30 slot or the 4:30 to 4:45 slot. I showed her my preliminary ideas for my project, and she loved them. Good. I was in and out of there.
I stopped by El Rodeo on Hillsborough Street and ate dinner.
I went to the library, and took notes on two 20-page chapters, which are required reading for Wednesday's class. I took 12 pages of typed notes. I left there at about 8:45. It felt good to be done a day ahead of schedule, and before 11:30PM like it's been in the past.
At home, I read three chapters for Dr. Dicks class tomorrow night.
