I got up at 9 this morning, and did ENG 515 Rhetoric of Science and Technology reading and devising my final three discussion board responses. I started off the final posting as follows:

I'm not going to get all nostalgic and wistful thinking about how, remarkably, after randomly ending up reading this one of our three articles last, in my final posting, in my final semester in the program, I find myself thinking about work I read in the very first class I took in the program almost four years ago. (I started in January, 2004.)  Pass the tissues, please.

I spent about an hour chopping celery, red pepper, sweet pickles and onions and throwing half of each of them into two separate mixing bowls—one with leftover Thanksgiving day turkey that had been ground in the food processor, and the other with ground leftover ham from said meal. To the turkey bowl I added mayonnaise and a dash of teriyaki sauce, and to the ham bowl I added mayonnaise and mustard.

I had a turkey salad sandwich for lunch. It was good, but it will be better later, once all those flavors have a chance to mingle.

I got a haircut by the woman whose conversation I can't understand a word of. She talks so fast, and she barely moves her lips or opens her mouth.

I did two loads of laundry tonight, and I did more work on my ENG 515 final paper.

I was in the bed by 8:30, unbeknownst to me, for a 12-hour "nap."
