I picked up Joe at 8:00, and we had coffee and a bagel at Panera Bread, before I whisked him off to the airport. He's in KCMO this week on business.

After dropping him off, I came home, showered and drove over to the:

North Carolina State University Library

I found the book I needed in the 7th Floor Stacks, did some work on my research paper while there, and then left at about 2:00.

I walked across the street, and had lunch at:

Once home, I scheduled some office hours time with my professor to ask a few questions about my research paper -- almost all of them about formatting and APA style citations.

I took a glorious nap from 4:45 until 6:00. Robert actually arrived at 5:45, but let me sleep until 6:00. I am the QoS.Collapse )

We left for Memorial Auditorium at about 6:15.

We stopped at Burger King on the way, as I hadn't had dinner, and Robert was gracious enough to sit with me inside while I scarfed down two Whopper Juniors.

Here's my question. Take two hamburgers. On one, put mustard, ketchup, and pickles, and on the other one put mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion. Call the first one a hamburger. Call the second one a Whopper Junior. Why? [That a rhetorical question. Don't answer it. I know why. Marketing.]

We saw the 7:00 showing of:

This is the third time I've seen this play: once here in Raleigh, once on Broadway, and now here again. The choreography is great, and the music, well being ABBA, is just fun, fun, fun.

Thanks to Amelia for the tickets!

Amelia

My favorite line in this play is when Rosie, walking off-stage with a cum-get-me look, says to Bill (the hunky Aussie), "Follow me." And then with her eyebrows dancing, "You can pepper my snapper."

My favorite moment in the audience was when the music started playing to denote the second half starting. It came so loud, that honestly, you could see the entire audience do a collective jump.

Shortly after that, the people in the row in front of us stood up (when you think they'd be sitting down since the show was starting back up), and I said to Robert, "They probably just don't want to sit in their pood." I was quite sure they had shat their pants with the music scare, but it turned out that the people next to them were returning to their seats and they were standing up to let them by.

Once home, I worked on my research paper. I can't wait for this class, and therefore this paper, to be over on Wednesday.
