Check engine light... again!

That freakin' check engine light is back on in my car! WTF!?!

I stopped for gas on the way home from work,

and then zipped into Jiffy Lube to have "Sam" connect his little gadget to my car to read the code associated with the check engine light.

Sam was off today. No one else could do it. He'll be back tomorrow.

Joe arrived at 5:00. We pumped up his tires, and hit the 5-mile loop, which we did three times.

At the beginning, I felt much better than I did on Saturday -- more energetic. I thought, "I guess it's true what they say about getting more exercise making you feel more energetic."

By the third lap, starting on mile 11, I felt old and fat again. Pity party starting. Do not attend.

It was interesting riding with another rider again. I made some bad calls about intersections being "clear," and was reminded of the group riding courtesies such as indicating road debris as the lead rider, and yelling, "car back," as the rear rider. Rear rider. I like the sound of that.

I finished a load of whites, moved it into the dryer, and started a load of colors, as I went out the door to meet Joe at Helios. Yes, I understand the risk of flood and fire.

Once again, the wireless network at Helios was unavailable. We gave up on it at about 9:45, about the time that (Prof.) Brad arrived. He tried to connect with his Mac to eliminate a PC-related problem. No luck.

A guy who used to work there joined Brad's table, and he said he thinks that they haven't changed the date/time on the server since DST came into effect, so it's shutting down at 9 instead of 10. Bastards.

That would certainly explain why whenever Joe and I get there we can't connect, because we're often there within that last hour. That totally sucks.

The good news was that the "light roast" coffee selection today was called "New Guinea," and we both thought it was excellent.
