Singing on the train, gang...

Richard Z. invited me to lunch at Piper's and bought me a birthday lunch. How sweet! I had the Pimento Cheese sandwich with slaw substituted for the chips. Yum!

I took Courtney to the airport at 2:00, and then worked from home for the rest of the afternoon.

Class was interesting tonight, though there was a lot of "storytelling." Erin told a great story about three people ("winners") her office manager hired -- in a row. First the woman who put her fist through the wall -- "and I mean so that the pink stuff was sticking out, but that's not what she was fired for; she was fired for something else." She was replaced by a lady who turned out to have five aliases, and started stealing money from the company. She was replaced by a lady who every six months or so checked herself into a mental hospital. And each time, the day before she did it, she would wear all this glitter on her face to work, so they knew it would be the next day. Bizarre!

I met Robert for a birthday dinner at Verde's in Durham, next to Parizade. What a delightful little place. We had some yummy "Bread and Dips"; Cold Cucumber Soup; a Tomato, Feta Cheese, Mint and Balsamic Vinegar Salad; and then a Portabello and Roasted Red Pepper Panini, which was delicious! We had cupcakes out of my car for dessert.

Robert looked quite dashing tonight! What a sweet man in my life!
