The two-hour process education given by John S. in Austin via e-meeting was excellent. I was so riveted by all of the information that I didn't even want to leave the office during the 2.5 hour conference call / e-meeting to get printouts I needed for the meeting.
The meeting ended at 1:30. From 2-3, I met with BT, Greg, and Stacy (Randy was out sick), and did a dry-run through the next meeting we're going to have with Marilyn.
Mel had a department meeting from 3-4, and it turned out to be very cool. Everyone went around and talked about "their history" with IBM, and it was so interesting. I was surprised to find out that three of us had left IBM and returned. I thought I was the only one.
During Kurt's turn, he talked about getting his Master's Degree in Technical Communications from NCSU. This really piqued my interest -- enough to print off the program before leaving work for the day. I'm going to talk to him about it.
I ended up going out to Trailer Trash Night at about 11:00. Andre showed up not too long after I arrived, and talked my ear off for at least 45 minutes, if not an hour. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah! I also spoke with Ross for a little while. I left as soon as the show started with that highly obnoxious "Trixie" as the emcee. God, she grates on my nerves.
