Judgy-Judgerson: You be the judge

~Thursday~  This "missed connections" posting is wrong on so many levels.

Let's see if we can list them.

You go first.

Gist: A guy interviewed with another guy. He wants the job. Says he has 'other' skills the interviewer would like that he'd be glad to show him. Wants a second 'less formal' interview.

Wrong
Not clarifying which "position?" "A few days ago" should have made it clear that the "vibe" was only one-sided ;) R.

Morally, ethically, and professionally...
....so many things, so little time.

A friend of mine mentioned that he thought it depended on what kind of job the person was applying for as to how "wrong" it was.

For instance, if he was applying for a job at a fast food restaurant as opposed to, say, for IBM then it might not be as egregious.

"For instance, if he was applying for a job as a porn star as opposed to, say, for IBM then it might not be as egregious." -- there, fixed that for ya. For me, the level of the position does not alter the inherent unprofessionalness of the post.

Then again, jobs are hard to come by these days. Kudos to him for trying to ensure his full ... errr ... portfolio was available to the interviewer!

Ha, Casey! FWIW, there was a "follow-up" posting to that one that simply said, "For the Second Interview Poster - Tell me something about the interview." I guess it takes all kinds.
