That's a lot of weight to bear...

~Tuesday~  Two things happened in close enough sequence yesterday as to make me laugh:

   1) I thought, "I sure am tired today," and
   2) I noticed dailyburn.com's reporting of the amount of total weight I lifted last week as part of my upper
        and lower body workouts.

30,125 pounds lifted on Monday, 03/12/12

64,125 pounds lifted on Sunday, 03/11/12

29,475 pounds lifted on Saturday, 03/10/12

63,750 pounds lifted on Thursday, 03/08/12

29,250 pounds lifted on Tuesday, 03/06/12

No wonder I'm tired! That's a ton of weight. Actually, at 216,725 pounds, it's 108.3625 tons of weight! I'm Superman!

So...you calculate each rep, right? If there was a set of 10 reps w 30 pounds, that's 300?

I just put in what I do & dailyburn calculates the weight lifted & estimates calories burned.
Yes, that seems to be what it's doing. All I enter is the number of sets and reps, like this:

For the estimated calories burned doing them, I know that my weight is factored in, at least for the ab crunches, as for the first six weeks or so, I did the same number of sets and reps of those, and the calories burned decreased as I lost weight.

I assume the same happens for the strength training, but can't swear to it, as both the amount of weight I'm lifting and my weight has been changing.

Cool! Is this a smart phone app? I want this, where can I find it? Thanks!

I think I'll be blown away when I see all the weight I lift!

Yes, there's a paying version at dailyburn.com. And then there's a free version at tracker.dailyburn.com. You know me well enough by now to know which one I use. :-) Do post your lifting total! :-)

I haven't had the focus to do this yet...but I am sure lots...although my workout this month is mostly with a resistance band, not free weights. So prolly not so impressive!
